P

astor Emmanuel ‘Tunde Ayanleye was born on the 24th of November, 1965 into the family of Pa Elijah Ayangbile Ayanleye and Mama Maria Ogunbola Ayanleye , both of blessed memory in Ganan-Daji, a Tin mining town in Barikin-Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Pastor Emmanuel ‘Tunde Ayanleye had his elementary education at St. Mathias Anglican Primary School, Ganan-Daji between 1970 and 1978. He proceeded to the prestigious Baptist High School, Jos, Nigeria for his secondary education between 1978 and 1983. He studied in the University of Jos, Jos- Nigeria, between 1987 and 1991 and 1992 and 1994 from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a Master of Science Degree in Economics (Money and Finance) respectively.

CONVERSION AND BAPTISM

Pastor Emmanuel ‘Tunde Ayanleye was born into a Christian family. He therefore was brought up to fear the Lord. He attended the Baptist church Ganan-Daji (now Aminchi Baptist Church) faithfully and regularly along with his parents. He was exposed to the Sunbeam early.

On a certain day in 1974, his oldest brother, who was then a student at the University of Ibadan, came home on a visit. His mother had just stepped out of the house. He was happy his oldest brother was home. While waiting for the arrival of their mother, his oldest brother began a conversation and asked if he was a Christian. The discussion made young Emmanuel realize that the only way to become a Christian was to invite Jesus Christ into his heart as his Saviour and Lord. That was the only way for young Emmanuel to see Jesus Christ some day. Young Emmanuel thought for a moment about that. Emmanuel knelt in their living room, beside the laundry box, in response to his brother’s request to invite Jesus Christ into his heart as his Saviour and Lord.

After going through the then Enquires’ Class, Emmanuel was baptized in Baptist Church, Ganan-Daji (now Aminchi Baptist Church) on the 20th of February, 1977.

CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE

Emmanuel had the rear privilege of follow-up as a young believer by his older siblings and Pastor Daniel A. Bature (now retired), his then pastor. This continued while he was a student in the Baptist High School, Jos, where he was exposed to missions in the Royal Ambassador. He enjoyed spiritual nurture through the Royal Ambassador, the Baptist Student Fellowship, the Discipleship Programme offered in Calvary Baptist Church, Naraguta, Jos, where he fellowshipped while in the University to mention a few. All these prepared him for service in the many churches and organizations where he served variously as Sunday School Teacher, Discipleship Facilitator, Prison Minister, Drama Leader, National BSF Holiday Missionary, member of Evangelism Committee, Prayer Band Member, Children Worker, Church Secretary and as a Deacon.

CALL TO MINISTRY

Emmanuel received the call to ministry and eventually responded by yielding for training at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso between 2013 and 2019. He graduated with the degree of Master in Divinity (Theology). Upon completion of his studies, First Baptist Church, Garki-Abuja extended a call to him to serve as Minister of Children and Discipleship, where he currently serves.
